Corona measures at Partille Energi
At Partille Energi, we are focused on ensuring the supply of electricity and district heating to our customers, even in the event of a wider spread of Covid-19 in the community. We also work actively to reduce the risk of infection in our Customer Service department, so that we can maintain a good service level.
If you have an issue to resolve with Customer Service, we recommend you to call or send us an e-mail instead of visiting our office.
In order to ensure continued deliveries, we need to keep up our work repairing faults and maintaining the networks and our customers’ installations. We try to plan so that the work will lead to as few physical visits as possible, but it’s difficult to avoid them altogether.
The staff at Lerum Energi and their sub-contractors, who are working in the field on our behalf, will follow the guidelines and recommendations made by the municipalities and Folkhälsomyndigheten (the Public Health Agency of Sweden). If you have any questions or comments concerning a planned visit, you are welcome to contact us.

Things to consider when you choose electricity trading company
Perhaps a salesperson from an electricity trading company has contacted you by phone or in town, promising you much lower electricity costs if you sign a contract with them? Below are some facts and good advice that might be helpful when you choose electricity supplier.
– It is possible to compare and choose electricity supplier based on price och the impact on environment. Since autumn 2019 Konsumenternas Energimarknadsbyrå (the Swedish Consumer Energy Markets Bureau) maintains a list of the electricity trading companies with most complaints against them. The list might be helpful when you choose electricity supplier. You find it here.
Be careful when you give your consent to a company by phone, over the internet or in a shop. Check that the consent does not give them greater powers than you intended. For example, your consent may give the company the right to break your contract with your current supplier, even though this means that you will be charged an exit fee.
– There are agencies who will do the negotiating and carry out the switch to another electricity trading company for you. Bear in mind that they often transfer you to the company that offers them the best fee. This is not always the best price or terms for you.
– You have 14 days right of withdrawal, to change your mind, if you have been called and signed an electricity supply contract by phone. You have the same right of withdrawal, to change your mind, if you have signed a contract in town.
– In the case of telephone sales (since 2018), you must be given the opportunity to accept the company’s offer in writing after the call has ended. Without the written agreement, the contract is not valid.
All electricity customers must have both an electricity network contract (elnätsavtal) and an electricity supplier contract (elhandelsavtal). Göteborg Energi Din El AB is the designated electricity supplier of Partille Energi Nät AB. If you are an electricity network customer with Partille Energi Nät AB, and you have not opted for any other electricity supplier, you will automatically get an electricity supply contract with Göteborg Energi Din El AB.

No power outages after Ciara and Dennis
First Storm Ciara blew passed. Then it was the turn of Storm Dennis. Neither storm caused any weather related power outages in Partille’s electricity network.
At Partille Energi we wish to deliver electricity in a safe way to our customers. That is why we invest, refurbish and structurally improve the electricity network to safeguard delivery of electricity every day. And still our electricity network prices are among the lowest in Sweden. The bad weather and storms passed by without any electricity outages. This proves that our investments help to safeguard our delivery of electricity.
But we know that outages and disruptions of electricity and heating distribution may occur and may be longer lasting. During the winter month this can be extra difficult. Do you have all you need at home, to manage during an extended power outage? Read more about current outages, and get tips and advice on the page Outages.

We have introduced monthly invoicing
Since January 2020 we are sending monthly invoices to all of our customers.
In order to help our customers keep better track of their energy costs, since January 2020 we have introduced monthly invoicing for all customers, regardless of their previous invoicing interval. For most business customers this will make no difference. A private customer or a business customer who previously received 4-6 invoices each year for their energy costs, will now receive invoices more frequently, and the invoices will cover a shorter period of time.
With us you can choose between several different ways to receive and pay your invoice. To protect the environment we would be happy if you chose an electronic alternative. Whichever alternative you choose, we do not charge any invoice fees.

Enjoy Christmas lights in the winter darkness
It’s Advent and Christmas. This is a time when many of us decorate our homes, outside and in, with electric candles, stars and strings of Christmas lights. It’s lovely to see all those lights in the winter darkness. Here is some good advice, if you like Christmas lights.
If you are fond of Christmas lights, but still wish to save energy – use LED lamps. Energimyndigheten (the Swedish Energy Agency) has tested lights in the traditional Swedish seven-armed candlesticks. The test showed that normal bulbs use 27 times more energy than LED lamps.
- If you wish to replace the bulbs in your candlestick with LED lamps, first check the manufacturer’s instructions to make sure it’s possible. Then replace all the lamps at the same time.
- Be cautious when you buy replacement bulbs. Do not use bulbs intended for seven armed candlesticks to replace the bulbs in a five armed candlestick. This is important because the bulbs may not be designed for the voltage they receive.
- LED bulbs in wax candles can also be a good and fire-safe alternative to candles if you have children or pets, or cannot keep watch over the candles all the time.
- Never place a string of Christmas lights outdoors if it’s for indoor use. Electrical equipment must be classed as IP44 or higher in order to be used safely outdoors.
- Broken lamps and string of Christmas lights must be returned to a recycling station.
You can read more about testing at Energimyndigheten (the Swedish Energy Agency) and get good advice here.
All of us at Partille Energi wish you a Merry Christmas.

New electricity network prices from 1st January 2020
From 1st January 2020 we have adjusted the electricity network prices in Partille. The average increase is 3.9 % compared to prices in 2019.
As society develops, many people use more electricity. This demands a lot more from the electricity network on a national, regional and local level. The adjustments of electricity network prices from 1st January 2020 are mostly due to notified price increases for the national and regional electricity network. Partille Energi Nät AB is a public utility with the explicit aim of offering good terms in Partille for residents and business alike. That is why we are investing in the electricity network, maintaining it and rebuilding it, to safeguard the supply of electricity in our municipality every day. Due to our long term, secure price policy and wise, forward-looking investments, we can offer electricity network prices that are amongst the lowest in Sweden. You will find more information about the new prices in the links below.

Change in energy tax from 1st January 2020
On 1st January 2020 the energy tax on electricity was changed to 35.3 öre/kWh exclusive of VAT.
The Swedish government made a decision in November 2019 to recalculate the energy tax index with 0.6 öre/kWh. Consequently, from January 2020 the tax increased from 34.7 öre/kWh to 35.3 öre/kWh, exclusive of VAT. Inclusive of VAT, the new tax will be 44.12 öre/kWh. The change was published in the Swedish Code of Statutes, SFS 2019:681.

Partille’s energy utility companies are closer to you
Now the energy utility companies Partille Energi AB and Partille Energi Nät AB are closer to you.
Since the turn of the year 2017/2018 the energy utility companies Partille Energi AB and Partille Energi Nät AB are owned by Partillebo AB. In practice, this means that these public companies are owned by all inhabitants of Partille. Our commitment is to operate the district heating and the electricity network in Partille.
By investing wisely, we will continue to develop our services so that they suit a modern society. A public ownership gives us more opportunities to influence the investments we need to make and to decide on prices, compared to a company with external owners.
Göteborg Energi was in charge of sales, customer contacts and invoicing until 31st October 2019. From 1st November 2019 Partille Energi runs its own market division, as we wish to be close to our customers.
We hope residents and companies will be content with our services, and that we can go on developing Partille together with you, says Partille Energi’s CEO Katarina Elfverson.
